Toukokuun alussa kukki joukko erilaisia suurikukkaisia krookuksia valkoisena, lilana, sinisenä, keltaisena ja raidallisena. Näiden aikaisemmin esiteltyjen lisäksi, kukki myös uusi suurikukkainen 'Vanguard' ja joukko kasvitieteellisiä krookuksia/ Beginning of May garden was full of different Crocuses, mostly C.vernus in colours such as white, blue, dark violet, striped and yellow. Before C.vernuses we also have many botanical crocuses as well:
Crocus chrysanthus 'Ard Schenk'

Crocus chrysanthus 'Cream Beauty'

Crocus chrysanthus 'Dorothy'

Crocus chrysanthus 'Gipsy Girl'

Crocus chrysanthus 'Ladykiller'

.. ja sen lähes identtinen kopio: 'Prins Claus'/ Ladykillers nearly identical friend 'Prins Claus'
Crocus chrysanthus 'Prins Claus'

I love the beautiful bulbs you grow and have been showing recently. I am sure Sydney is too warm for them all as I never see them here!
VastaaPoistaI am amazed that you are able to keep track of the cultivar names on your lovely crocuses.... I have a difficult time keeping up with all the many plants we grow and am lucky to remember the names of the shrubs and the trees! I'm looking forward to viewing more of your garden... Larry
VastaaPoistaChookie, I am so sorry to know, that you can't grow crocuses at all :(
VastaaPoistaLarry, thank you for your comment! :) It's allways nice to find new readers!
I try to label every plant in my garden and specially at springtime our garden looks like a botanic garden with mass of different type of labels. And I keep track of my plants too. It's a huge job, but I love to know what I'm growing and where plants are from.
